Laylat al-Raghāʾib (Arabic: ليلة الرغائب ) Is the first Thursday night of Rajab which has especial rituals.
Muhammad (Arabic: محمد; c. 570 CE – 8 June 632 CE) is the central figure of Islam, whom Muslims hold to be the Seal of the prophets sent by God to mankind to bring Islam to perfection.[Quran 5:3] Muslims believe that Islam represents the unaltered original monotheistic faith of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets. He united Arabia into a single Muslim polity and ensured that his teachings, practices, and the Quran, which Muslims believe was revealed to him by God, formed the basis of Islamic religious belief.
Born approximately in 570 CE in the Arabian city of Mecca, Muhammad was orphaned at an early age; he was raised under the care of his paternal uncle Abu Talib. After his childhood Muhammad primarily worked as a merchant. Occasionally, he would retreat to a cave named Hira in the mountains for several nights of seclusion and prayer; later, at age 40, he reported being visited by Gabriel in the cave and received his first revelation from God. Three years after this event Muhammad started preaching these revelations publicly, proclaiming that "God is One", that complete "surrender" (lit. islām) to him is the only way (dīn) acceptable to God, and that he was a prophet and messenger of God, similar to the other prophets in Islam.
Regaip Kandili in Turkish, or Laylat al-Ragha’ib in Arabic, is a holy night in Islam commemorating the conception of the Prophet Muhammad. As Muslim holidays begin the night before, Regaip Kandili is celebrated on the Thursday night preceding the first Friday in the month of Rajab.
Our beloved Prophet commanded the following: "Do not be unaware of the first Friday night of Rajab. Because, the angels named this night as Ragaib. When it is one third of the night, no angels are left in the skies. All of them get together at and around Kaaba."
Allah Ta‘ala know the situation and commands "O Ye My Angels! Demand whatever you want to demand from me."
They say, ‘O Ye Our Rabb! Our only demand is your forgiveness of the ones who fast during the month of Rajab.’ Allah Taala commands, ‘I forgave them.’
This night is honored by understanding of Hadrat Amina that she is pregnant to Hadrat Muhammad Mustafa who is the blessing (rahmat) of universes. Because, divine arrival of the reason of existence of the universes to world is coming closer. Nour-i Muhammadi, which has been transferred since Hadrat Adam passed from Hadrat Abdullah to Hadrat Amina. Very soon, it will find its real owner.
One should benefit from the baraqat of this night by worshipping. Our beloved Prophet said, when a servant is sick Allah Ta‘ala send him two angels and commands following:
"Let us see, what is he going to say to those came to visit him."
If he thanks Allah when somebody visits him, the angels inform Allah of this, who knows everything the best. Allah Ta‘ala commands the following: "If I have my servant die, I will put him to Jannah, if I give him cure, I give him flesh better than his flesh, blood better than his blood. I forgive his sins for this illness."
